We have developed a measurement system for transverse bow in cold-rolled strip, which is convenient to issue and is accurate to about 0.1 mm deformation of tensile-stressed cold-rolled strip.This system has three parts: sensors to measure optical displacement, control, and a signal-processing computer. The system has been running well without interruption for four years.
