The article explores the historic lake stages in the Prairie Pothole Region (PPR) of North America. It notes that several image-processing techniques were used, with the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data in January 2000, to estimate lake stages. It mentions that the Canny Edge Detector (CED), coupled with the data, provided outstanding accuracy in the estimation. |
