The article features graphic designer Freeman Craw. Craw attended the Cooper Union in New York City where he was encouraged by painting instructor George Harrison and the then school director, Esmond Shaw, to develop his talents. He has worked as a design and typography artist at the American Colortype Co. and became director of Tri-Arts Press (TAP). As TAP director, Craw was responsible for a house design style that is used in space advertising, direct mail campaigns and on matchbooks. |
