The article presents an examination of the relationship between biofuel production and food security in Africa. It discusses the impact that energy security has on food security and examines how issues related to land ownership and individuals' livelihoods have become entangled in the debate. It explores how individuals' face the decision of choosing between using land to grow food crops versus energy crops and examines regions where this issue has created problems related to food prices and food availability. |
