Values of Long Term Group Counseling in Middle and High School.

Abstrakt: This is a report of a school counseling group which lasted for 5 years with the same group leader, from middle school, 7th grade to high school, 12th grade. Five youngsters, 3 girls and 2 boys, remained for the 5 years, while other members stayed more briefly. These 5 made significant improvements in self esteem, communicative abilities, family relations and school performance. The gender mix of the group was helpful. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
