The author discusses the need for training and supervision of children and adolescent group therapists. A method of combined individual and group supervision to fulfill the requirement for training the beginning group therapist and the use of a supervisory group is described. Issues of safety and trust are established to facilitate the method of forming of groups, group dynamics, and group process.
