The article presents a study aimed at characterizing the neuropsychology of the psychosis prodrome by comparing clinical high-risk (CHR) individuals with normal controls and family high-risk (FHR) groups and to examine whether baseline neuropsychological function predicts ensuing psychosis. The methods of the North American Prodrome Longitudinal Study (NAPLS), a consortium of 8 research centers observing the CHR individuals, their assessment protocols and results are discussed. It finds individuals at CHR of psychosis to be significantly impaired. |
