The article discusses some of the real and theoretical consequences of the move to broaden the scope of study geographically to cover more patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and/or to study patients with other types of PH. It looks at the distribution and kinds of PH, the variation in patient management and the extend to which patients have access to proper medical care in various regions of the world which necessarily impacts clinical studies. It is concluded that globalization of clinical trials in PAH is in progress. |
