Abstrakt: The article presents a study on symptom patterns between early pandemic and seasonal influenza infections in Singapore. The study used a novel dual-gene diagnostic polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay, designed for enhanced influenza surveillance from May to July 2009. The study found that there was a lower incidence of fever and dyspnea in pandemic influenza A patients.
