| Abstrakt: |
The article presents an overview of a variety of computer visualization techniques, illustrating the ways they can be used to manipulate and organize data sets. It is noted that complex graphics are not suitable for relatively simple data, and that the level of sophistication in presentation should be commensurate with the intrinsic complexity of the information depicted. Time-series data, statistical distributions, maps, and hierarchies are discussed, and representations such as arc diagrams, node-link diagrams, choropleth maps, and scatter plot matrices are presented. |
