The article focuses on the global positioning system GPS Phase I program at the Joint Program Office (JPO). It consists of 30 officers and about 25 Aerospace cadres that were formed to develop requests for proposals, to make top-level specifications, and to publish initial interface control documents. It also refers the five challenges that they are about to address including one which is the specific details of the GPS code division multiple access (CDMA) signal structure. |
