Abstrakt:	The article focuses on the useful applications of bed boundary mapping in heavy oil environment. It highlights the ambitious plans for improving oil recovery of Petróleos de Venezuela Sa (PDVSA). The project deployed a combination of rotary steerable system (RSS) and a deep azimuthal electromagnetic resistivity system. It enables real-time bed boundary mapping to provide engineers with pit-for purpose information to update and increase the accuracy of geological model.
