Abstrakt: | The article reports on a study to examine the associations of gut hormones during pregnancy with maternal glucose homeostasis, maternal weight, and fetal growth. The study included 55 pregnant non-obese, non-diabetic Caucasian women who underwent anthropometric measurements and oral glucose tolerance test while the fetal growth was estimated by ultrasound. The study concludes that maternal GLP1 might be associated with the pregnancy-related increase in glycemia and insulin resistance. |
