Abstrakt: The article offers a research related to Dung decay and its implication for population estimates of duikers and and red river hogs in the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park, Republic of Congo. Commonly used census techniques, such as aerial surveys and line transects methods using direct counts of large mammals are extremely difficult to conduct in the dense African rainforest due to the elusive nature of these animals.
