We model the kinetics of homogeneous oxidation of methane using a detailed (88 steps) mechanism for the process. We show that the calculations of the kinetics of the process are in satisfactory qualitative and quantitative agreement with experimental data on oxidative addition of methane at atmospheric pressure.
