Abstrakt: The effect of extrusion and heat treatment regimes on mechanical properties of rods 40 – 45 mm in diameter fabricated from powder molybdenum alloys is investigated. The alloys are fabricated from a mixture of Mo and 0.1 – 2.0% ZrB2. A deformed alloy of molybdenum with 2% ZrB2 is shown to be hardened effectively. An optimum composition is chosen for a high-temperature molybdenum alloy possessing good ductility at 20°C in deformed and recrystallized states. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
