Abstrakt: Soil-agroecological zoning is based on the comprehensive landscape-genetic approach, which makes it possible to study each region of a particular taxonomic level both as a whole and as a combination of smaller heterogenic natural complexes comprising latitudinal and altitudinal natural belts. A map of soil-agroecological zoning of the Dagestan Republic has been developed on a scale of 1:200 000. The ecological status of the soil cover of the republic is analyzed, and measures for nature protection and rational land use are suggested. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
