The article discusses the potential and obstacles created by cloud computing. According to the article, cloud computing refers to the applications delivered as services over the Internet and the hardware and system software located in the data centers that provide the services. The terms cloud, public cloud, utility computing, private cloud, surge computing or hybrid cloud computing, and Software as a Service are clarified to reduce confusion Several obstacles to and opportunities for cloud computing growth including the availability of business continuity and the use of multiple cloud providers are discussed. |
