The article presents the text of speech by Sandra Delack, the Health Services Coordinator for the Johnston Public Schools in Johnston, Rhode Island and the school nurse-teacher at Ferri Middle School, delivered during her inauguration as president of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) in Boston, Massachusetts on June 28, 2009, in which she discussed the vision of school nurses, the need for them to share their stories, and their visibility that will make school committees and policy makers to seek them for advice on health issues. |
