Abstrakt: The article reports on the study which examined the aggressive multimodality treatments for nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that could predict long-term survival. It notes that the five-year survival in patients with advanced NSCLC remained poor and limited to small pathological subsets. It indicates that patients with advanced stage lung cancer who did not belong to any of the subsets had lower chances of long-term survival.
