The article presents a reprint of the article “Jackrabbit Ruin,” by Frederick H. Scantling, which appeared in the Vol. 5, No. 3, 1939 issue of “Kiva.” It discusses the cooperative archaeological excavations by the Arizona State Museum and the Civilian Conservation Corps of a prehistoric Hohokam village located on the Papago Indian Reservation near Sells, Arizona. The article details the archeological features uncovered which include architectural structures, trash mounds, burial sites, stone tools, and pottery sherds. |
