Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study on the impact of prescribed fire to Zion National Park, and the infestation of nonnative plants in the area. Four vegetation monitoring types including gambel oak and ponderosa pine-pinyon pine were included in the post burn analysis within the Park's Clear Trap to determine the abundance of grass species such as cheat grass. The study reveals the potential of utilizing fire and proactive approach in the management of nonnative plants in fire-adapted environment. |
