Abstrakt: The article presents a study on the relationship between symptom severity ratings and survival outcomes of patients with advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Patients rated symptom severity before and after their first chemotherapy cycle and the prognostic values and changes in symptom severity were examined. The study showed an increased risk for shorter survival outcomes; thus, patients' symptom severity score should be regarded as it may provide useful information for their treatment.
