The article discusses a survey of patients in various Swiss oncology and haematology institutions concerning treatment of chemotherapy-induced anaemia. The objective of the survey was to examine baseline hemoglobin (Hb) levels and the speed of response to erythropoetin-stimulating agent (ESA) treatment among the patients. Results indicated that mean Hb levels grew by 0.9. Key findings emphasized the status on the utilization of ESA treatments for chemotherapy-induced anaemia in routine oncology practice. |
