Abstrakt: The article discusses how executions of mentally retarded criminals in Texas were stopped with the help of Mexican immigrant Daniel Plata's case. It says that a neuropsychologist confirmed that he is mentally retarded but psychologist George Denkowski opposed the findings after conducting his own exam. However, it says that Plata was removed from the death row as his lawyer proved errors to Denkowski findings and a complaint against him was filed which may end his career as a prosecution expert.
