This article describes, analyzes, and illustrates four virtues that Christian individuals and/or congregations, who intend to minister faithfully and effectively to and with persons with disabilities, ought to cultivate: 1) attentiveness, 2) patience, 3) generosity of spirit, and 4) reverence for human life. It contends that these virtues are both required for and fostered by the actual practice of ministering to and with persons with disabilities, and shows how they are often displayed by persons with disabilities themselves.
