| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study that aims to isolate, identify and characterize Candida digiboiensis SRDyeast1 which was isolated from a water sample from the Panandhro lignite mine in Gujarat, India. Observations show the yeast to be capable of surviving in acid mine drainage (AMD) sample preserved at temperatures of 10-42 degrees celsius. The study concludes that the isolate can produce enzymes such as protease and differs in physiological and metabolic characteristics from Candida digiboiensis. |
