The article discusses the study conducted on nonprofit community health systems in the U.S. to assess their governance oversights of patient care quality as compared to benchmarks of good governance. In the study, mailed surveys were sent to community health system chief executive officers (CEOs) to get their opinions on the specific aspects of their organization's structure, practices and culture. The definition of community health system is also provided. |
