| Abstrakt: | The article presents a profile of Jim and Joy Robbins, who coach contestants for the Miss America Pageant. Jim and Joy have lived in New Castle, Indiana since 1974 and for decades had coached the speech team at the New Castle High School. They later coached their niece Joni McMechan, Miss Northwestern pageant winner in 1987, to compete for Miss Indiana later that year. Their first winner at the Miss America Pageant came when a Miss Illinois named Marjorie Vincent won in 1993. |
