The article focuses on the management of compliance risks associated with the enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) by the U.S. government. The jurisdictional of FCPA covers U.S. companies and citizens, as well as companies with securities registered or listed in the country. Its regulatory climate is said to pose significant compliance challenges for multinational companies that are doing business in China. The factors that present FCPA risks in China are discussed, along with ways to manage such risks. |
