The article discusses the research study called Skills for Support which aims to find out what people with learning disabilities need from their personal assistants (PA). It states that it is easy to identify the general outcome that people with learning disabilities want form their PA support, however, it is difficult to understand how to do things such as showing respect. It notes that providing good support to learning disabled will require them to make the decision on what a PA should do. |
