The article offers information on the editorial policy and retrospective of periodical "Molecular Ecology" in 2010 to maintain their excellent performance. The editorial policy covers the concerns on data archiving in which the data supporting the results in the paper should be archived in an appropriate public archive, such as GenBank, Gene Expression Omnibus, or Tree- BASE. It will also change its "Fast Tract" section to "From the Cover" that will contain several papers of exceptional interest that address concerns in ecology, evolution, behaviour or conservation. Further, "Molecular Ecology" will publish retrospective study that focuses on significant advances in molecular ecology such as the study on sympatric speciation, cryptic species, and patterns of spatial genetic structure. |
