The article presents a comment to the concerns raised about the National Preventive Dentistry Demonstration Program(NPDDP). It states that other concerns about the NPDDP stem from misunderstandings about the procedures of the project such as when the APHA panel thought there was only one school per site per treatment regimen while there were actually two or more. It asserts that criticisms of the NPDDP seems to be concerned with possible bias against the preventive measures tested. It suggests that it was not a perfect study but the results were found to be dramatic as to be compelling. |
