Abstrakt: This article focuses on programs for recruiting, education, testing and continuing education of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) in 1967. For several years now, the Institute has produced brochures directed at the high school student. Among these are Accounting is Business Leadership and A Career As a Certified Public Accountant. The career films CPA and Inc. also form part of the recruitment program. Such films point out problems such as the identification of the audience that accountants are trying to reach and understanding the kinds of influences that affect the career decision. The Institute's professional development program is an effort aimed at keeping the world from passing the CPA by. The Institute is at work to supplement the Staff Training Program and the Training Program for In-Charge Accountants.
