Abstrakt: This article provides information on professional development programs for certified public accountants (CPA). Over the past five years increasing growth of, and recent trends in, executive development programs have suggested to a few observers that similar conferences are needed for partners and managers in CPA firms. The principal objective of the first Texas CPA Executive Development Program was to examine and evaluate that balance of perspectives and elements of understanding which often foretells effective and profitable management. The scope of the conference, implicit in these considerations, was of broad dimension and was executive oriented. The program consisted of ten meetings, consuming approximately three days.
