Abstrakt: The article reports on the prevalence of diabetes and obesity in county level in the U.S. in 2007. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been using the Bayesian multilevel models to approximate cases of the diseases in 3,141 counties in the country. The CDC found that more than 10.6 percent and 30.9 percent of the population have diabetes or are obese, respectively.
