Analyzes the results of a clinical trial which determined the efficacy and safety of the oral administration of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) as replacement therapy in patients with advanced HIV disease. Improvement in the subjective perception of the quality of life in individuals with advanced HIV disease; Increase in plasma levels of DHEA despite poor oral availability; Association of DHEA levels and lipodystrophy. |
