Abstrakt: The article discusses the challenges inherent in distinguishing between characteristics often associated with gifted children and those with Asperger's Disorder. The author notes that a gifted child with a disability such as Asperger's Disorder is commonly referred to as a twice-exceptional child and these children are often misdiagnosed. The Giftedness/Asperger's Disorder Checklist (GADC) can help educators and mental health professionals determine whether a child needs further evaluation.
