Abstrakt: The article focuses on the cold cracks that appear in circumferential and circular joints after electron beam welding is used in manufacturing gas-turbine engine rotors made up of titanium alloys. The cracks arise directly after welding and after machining and heat treatment. Applying additional local annealing by the electron beam in vacuum of welded joints and using an accelerating voltage of 100-150 kV were found to reduce the volume residual stresses and the formation of the cracks.
