Abstrakt: The article presents poster presentations on nutrition and metabolism in mother and infant. A study by Nadezda Koleganova and colleagues found that high salt intake during pregnancy controls the renin-angiotensin system in developing kidney resulting to reduced nephron numbers in the offspring. A study by Jakub Behrendt and colleagues evaluated the serum leptin concentration in healthy and infected newborns. Elena Coleta and colleagues studied maternal risk factors, infant outcome and perinatal complications in fetal macrosomia.
