The article describes the case of patients who are suspected victims of snakebite and snake envenoming. The study aims to determine the features of rough-scaled snake (RSS) envenoming through identification of the snake or confirmation of venom through enzyme immunoassay (EIA). Based on the results of the Australian Snakebite Project (ASP), 42 out of 697 recruits were determined as potential RSS bite victims, while 24 out of the 42 recruits experienced RSS envenoming. Also discussed are the clinical effects of RSS envenoming. |
