Abstrakt: |
The article deals with a study which examined the nematode fauna of rodents collected from recreation grounds in Wroclaw, Poland as well as their role in the transmission of toxocariasis caused by Toxocara spp. in the area. It references related studies on the role of rodents as an intermediate, definitive or paratenic host for helminth species. The species of rodents collected for the study are the Apodemus (A.) agrarius, A. flavicollis and Myodes glareolus. Findings observed the existence of Toxocara spp. larvae in livers and brains of A. agrarius. Also cited is the conclusion of the study. |
