The article reports on the performance of China's Shanghai Composite index as of October 2009. The index is described as looking particularly weak despite global stocks appearing to have entered a period of consolidation. The low seen in December 2008 is interpreted as an interim low. Investors are cautioned that the growth seen in recent months may not be accompanied by a sustainable rise in corporate operating profits. |
