| Abstrakt: |
The article presents information on the foundation and objectives of the International Union of Toxicology (IUTOX). The association was formed in cooperation with the Society of Toxicology (SOT) and the European Society for the Study of drug Toxicity (ESSDT) after the thalidomide event to stimulate research in toxicology, prevent similar toxicological disasters, and the development of new teratogenic and other testing systems. It also offers a look at the total assets of IUTOX from 1977 to 2000. |
