Abstrakt: The article presents a case study of a 44-year-old nonsmoking female patient who was suffering from fever and productive cough. She underwent diagnostic processes when her illness had not been cured by two antibiotic courses. They showed a heterogeneous cystic mass containing soft tissue septa, fluid and fat. Through other processes including bronchoscopy and cytologic examination, it was revealed that the patient has pneumonia secondary to the rupture of mediastinal mature cystic teratoma.
