The article presents a study on the classification of adnexal torsion using Doppler and gray-scale sonography. The Doppler and gray-scale ultrasound were used to visualize coiling of the ovarian blood vessels of 17 patients who were suspected for adnexal torsion. The findings of the study indicate the three classifications of adnexal torsion including coiling of the vascular pedicle, coiling of the ovarian vessels and coiling with absent intraovarian arterial and venous flow. |
