The article offers information on the Project Apollo program in the U.S. It discusses the two major manned sub-systems, including the Command modules, which were designed to carry a crew of three astronauts into orbit and Lunar modules, which provide adequate room for two pressure suited astronauts. Meanwhile, it discusses the Lunar Rover system, a self-contained version that could transport two or three astronauts and provide sufficient living space for up to a two week excursion on the moon. |
