Abstrakt: The article presents a study which examines the effects of spinosad on field populations of cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera from China. It notes that spinosad exposure for 48 hours presents no significant changes in glutathione-S-transferase (GST) and carboxyl esterase (CarE) while an increased in the activities of p-nitroanisole O-demethylase (ODM) was observed. It stresses the possible role of cytochrome P450 monooxygenase in the metabolism and resistance of pests againsts spinosads.
