Abstrakt: The article offers information on orthopedic companies in the U.S. that had a rise in revenues in 2008 despite the economic turmoil. The $6.71 billion in revenue of Stryker Corp. was a 12 percent increase. The $4 billion mark was reached by Zimmer Holdings Inc. for its revenue which is the first time in the history of the company. The $3.8 billion in revenue of Smith & Nephew PLC was a 13 percent increase.
