Abstrakt: The article analyzes the effects of the elicitin cryptogein in Phytophtora cinnamomi infection process of cork oak plantlets obtained in vitro. The pathogen migration was strongly reduced in cryptogein treated roots. A gradient of disorganization of P. cinnamomi in the cortical parenchyma cells was found through ultrastructural observation of cryptogein pre-treated and inoculated roots. It is considered that the electron-dense materials around the hyphae are phenolic compounds.
